I'm a slacker!!

Dang it! I thought I would be better about this blogging thing. Well a lot has happened. I finished my hCG diet and successfully lost 29lbs. I am in a size 10 pant!!!! I am hoping to start another round of the hCG soon. Just to kick those last 10-15lbs that are hanging on (to my backside) for dear life. Life has definitely become more stressful.
Jac is not going to pursue a nursing career. With his back injury the doctor said it would only injure him further with all the lifting he would have to do. We are in limbo right now deciding where to go from here.
I have a lower back injury that we are pretty sure is a compressed disc in my lower back. It makes just about everything impossible to do. Including exercise. :(!!!!
Good news: Jac has lost 34lbs on hCG and 134 total!!! I AM SO PROUD OF HIM.
Paige is starting to speak in sentences like "papa hot car GO!" and "I love bubby" (bubby is Jacan) She still falls ALL the time and gets into everything. She is so sweet and bring tremendous joy to our lives! She is going to be 2 at the end of december. She is growing way too fast.
Jacan just turned 13...wait I mean 4. It seems like 13 sometimes. He has...spunk...and a very good sense of his ability to make choices. He is incredibly funny, so sweet with his Sissy (most of the time ;) and he is very smart. We love the spirit he brings to our family.
Well I am going to try and be better about keeping this thing updated. We'll see how that goes.

Almost Done!

I am almost done. I have 1 day left and I feel great!! Also I am 1lb away from my goal of 30 lbs. I am in a size S/M sometimes large (you know how different brands differ in size) top and a 12/14 pant. I feel so good. I love the change this diet has made in my life. My family is now a healthier and happier one. It was kinda funny cause the other day cause Jacan asked if he could have a cookie and I had to stop and think if we had any. We didn't! No junk food whatsoever. It was great. He had some broccoli and carrots instead and was actually happy about it. I love it!

My plan is to do Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred after I am done with the hCG. Try and tone up the muscles I just uncovered. I also found out that my stomach muscles aren't separated like I thought. There was too much chub to tell. Woo-hoo.

My new attitude with my new body and haircut equal a very happy Meagan.

Alright...So I Suck At Blogging

I know I created this blog so I could stay on top of my weight and stay motivated. Well I have not been good about blogging but I sure have been with my weight. I have not had ANY candy, cookies or desserts of any sort for almost 4 weeks now. Not even a lick or a tiny bite! NOTHING. I didn't realize how crappy soda made me feel. Not to mention all the processed crap I ate. I am loving all the fresh veggies and fruits. I really look forward to cooking with the fresh ingredients. I also love going to the local farmer's market. Such good stuff there.
I now feel confident in my basic knowledge of healthy eating to get my family on board. I'm going to try and feed the kids as little processed food as possible. To try and get most all of the 'junk' food out of the house. To make my own treats for us. Like this yummy recipe from my sister Sharlee...SO GOOD!!
Healthy Almond Breakfast bars!
1/2 C Canola Oil (Can use olive oil, but I prefer the taste of Canola)
1/2 C Honey
2t Vanilla
1 egg
2 C Oatmeal
3/4 C Whole Wheat Flour
1/2 C Brown Sugar (I usually cut it down to 1/4 C and it still tastes good)
1/2 C Sliced Almonds
1/2 C toasted Wheat Germ
1/4 C ground flax seed
1/2 C Raisins & Cranberries (I also add dried blueberries or white raisins)
3/4 t Salt

*Line a 9x13 pan with foil, grease foil with Canola oil
*Mix oil, honey, vanilla and egg
*In a large bowl, with a fork mix oats, flour, sugar, almonds, wheat
germ, flax seed, fried fruits and salt until combined.
*With a rubber spatula stir wet mix into dry mix until blended.
*Scrape into prepared pan, pat oat mixture evenly into pan. Bake 30-35
min until pale golden brown.
*Cool completely in pan on wire rack for 1 hour. Cut into 2 inch
squares using pizza cutter or sharp knife.

You can add other stuff that appeals to you too. I highly suggest you try these!
So...my weight is way down. almost 10lbs!! I am feeling so much better about my self, my blood pressure is down, my back doesn't hurt like it used to and either does my neck. I am hoping to actually start running soon. My body has hurt too badly to do it. Think I will give it another go soon.

Feelin' Great!

So...I forgot my password to my blog....but I figured it out and now I am posting again. I have done really well the last couple weeks!! Not so much on the running front, but on the weight loss part. Whenever I run it really throws my body out of whack. I know I need to push through it and its not like I am even running for more than a few minutes.
I leave for Sunriver on Thursday and I am sooooo excited to spend time with the fam and be outside. Happy fourth to all of you and I hope you have a ton of fun and stay safe.

First week down

Well today I feel great. I had a good run yesterday and am gonna do some pilates tonight.

Not so good in the weight loss but I give it to a first week slow start. No worries I'm not letting it get me down. Looking forward to this next week. Jac starts school on Monday and the babysitting begins again.

Why Food Why?

Why is it that when you set a goal and tell yourself you are going to cut back on sweets and greasy food THAT is exactly what you want to eat ALL THE TIME?!?!?! Completely irritating. Only 2 days in and I'm frustrated. On with the fight!! I will win this time fat. I am better and stronger than you!! You better pack your bags cause you are going on a permanent vaca!

Here I Go

I have had 3 C-Secions. The first was an emergency so there we complications. Recovery was hard due to an abscess in the c-section incision. Also I ate crap food the whole pregnancy...basically lived off Taco Bell. I gained 75lbs and only lost 37lbs. Next pregnancy I got up to 240lbs and lost about 40lbs after. Third pregnancy and last I only gained 20lbs but seemed to keep it ALL after. Now I have separated stomach muscles and weight to lose. I have done alright but lately my nemesis CAKE has had a strong hold on me. I love food! I am also an emotional eater. I hope to change these things.

Ok...here is the deal. I am setting a goal for myself to lose 3lbs a week for the next 10 weeks. It is actually a "Couch To 5K Training Plan". Along with this I am doing our Wii Fitness and Active workouts. I am also choosing to live a more active life. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and make it possible to be outside most days.
My current weight is 199lbs. I have already lost 30lbs since the end of February this year. But I have been back and forth over the 200 mark for a couple months. My overall goal is to be 150lbs. This 10 week goal will get me close.
My hope is that by blogging about it I can have some accountability for how much I do. Also I will be able to see the work I have done. I will post pics along the way...however embarrassed I may feel. Plus if I lose all this weight I won't have a choice but to go SHOPPING!!! So...Here I go!
